Yes so that will be okay :The pen will be in my room

Hi,that is a very good size for 2 piggies.the bottom of the pen usually unzips,so can be machine washed at 40 degree wash.i I use puppy pads on the base covered in hay.change every 3days .
I’m the only one that comes in my room so none of the other pets will enter my room and I can always set something else up if I notice them chewing the cage and how is this unable to be cleaned properly? Especially if I use fleeceI would definitely say that is not recommended for housing guinea pigs for 6 months to a year. I used to have one of those for another pet of mine.
Perhaps for a very brief time under close supervision because it would be both a safety & health issue if they consume the material. One of my 10 would have a hole in that within days, if not sooner. Plus it can't be cleaned properly on a regular basis which would put your guinea pigs at risk for fungal or respiratory issues.
Do you have other pets? Small siblings? That would therefore not be safe, especially if it's flexible and collapsible if you have other pets such as dogs or cats or small kids in the house. All it takes is someone else in the household forgetting to shut a door and you have a tragedy.
Can I ask, why are rushing into getting guinea pigs when you aren't prepared for them? Why not take the needed time to assemble them a proper and safe environment first?
I thought you’re going to use the play pen? We like pigtures
ETA: have a read on how to settle them and double check the sex etc. Good luck!
my two boys have never tried to chew the playpen, if you have a nibbler you can always buy a carrot cottage or seagrass tunnel. If you keep the top zipped over when you are out then I very much doubt a cat or dog would be likely to get in there xI am using the playpen and I actually just posted a thread to have someone double check the sex of them cause I think one might be male
The black one looks like a boar to me, sorry! The blacks the one I’m worried about cause the other looks female
The blacks 2ish months old and the brown/white one is 5-6 months
Thanks the totes not as big as I’d like it to be size wise but it’s like 18 inches highGood luck with the pregnancy watch. How big is that plastic box? And are you sure the boar can’t get to your sow?
I don’t think they can be neutered until then it’s have dropped. Hopefully about 3months to go.
Yeah I’ll be getting them to the vet this week or next and I’ll be starting to build the big cage ((24 sq feet)) I plan to build soonPlease try and get a new cage for them very soon. They need space to run around. Preferably within the next month or two. C&C are fab, you can make them whatever shape you want![]()
