aww poor things! so glad you were there, One thing that gets me so mad is when people let there children "play" with the animal without supervision (even though these particular children it seems where meant to be supervised!), those poor guinneas must of been terrified! I'm so glad they are rescued, AGAIN! but pets at home really should be more careful, especially as it was an adoption process, I'm not sure pet shops should exsist at all sometimes...
I'm not against children being with animals just incase some one took what i just said wrong, I have a 2 year old boy live next door to us and we often let him stroke the guinneas and other animals I think childeren should be around animals as it teaches them to care for things...its just when you see that the parents have thought it was a good idea to get a kitten or something and you see the toddler dragging it round by the tail, :...it makes me mad! Nemo you sound like you have the right ideaxx>>>
I'm sure i did the right thing.
I mean children need to learn respect for animals and the mother obviously had none so how was this child to know any different?!?!
:red not literally, i want to make that quite clear! rolleyesWow! go you! you have got some balls!
well i went in on the way home from work today and asked about them. (i have to admit i felt very uneasy about going back). The pigs weren't in the adoption section and their sign had gone, so i asked a staff member who said "which ones?, oh them they've gone out to a family this morning". I hope it wasn't the same family, but understandably they couldn't tell me. The irresponsible staff member who signed them over in the first place saw me and gave me filthy glare (like i care what someone like thinks). I think i'm going to get in touch with their head office about the whole adoption process and let them know what happened. There is no way of me finding out about where the pigs ended up, but after what i saw i have no confidence in them being rehomed responsibly. I think thats going to be the last time i go into a pets at home. The whole thing has really upset me.
I adopted my Ginger piggy from pets at home just over a year ago and what surprised me is that they only charged £9.99 for him but their normal price for guinea pigs is £20 so it makes me wonder if some people will adopt them rather than pay for a baby one because they are cheaper.?/
it does, but it shouldn't.Guess it varies for store and staff.![]()
