oh well done! I'm so glad those poor piggies didnt end up with that woman, how could she put them in the car boot? thats just terrible! You were very brave to do what you did - well done again!

Hello everyone,
I've had a positive response from PAH regarding this incident. I've decided that although i'm happy with their response so far, not to post their reply, however if any of you are interested in what they've said please feel free to pm me.

Some people are so (can't find the right word).

Now I got a guinea pig from PAH adoption bit and I was grilled and grilled about what cage I had, if it would be inside or outside, what food I had, what experience I had, if it would be living with others, how many guinea pigs I had in the past, how long they all lived and so on.

It took a long time, and I am glad it did!

First of all I would like to say a very big well done to the original poster. Glad I am not the only one who ends up in the line of fire LOL I am sure most of us would:)

What I would like to see is all pet shops charging at leat £50 pounds a piggy. I believe it would stop people and mostly parents with young children buying them on a whim. Unfortunatly with human nature to only way to hit these people is in the pockets! I have lost count of the amount of times I have heard or seen little Johnny or Jill whineing for a guinea or gerbil ect. Parents pay a pittance for a quiet life then the pet gets ignored.

I was horrified while listening to the radio the other day as a well known reporter told the story of how she bought her 5 year old a hamster but the child had to be responsible for it. She checked for a couple of days to see the child was cleaning and feeding it. 3 months later she had another look and found it dead in the cage as it had starved to death. No food/water:)>>> The reporter thought this very funny. With attitudes like this from so called intelligent people what hope do animals have. It just seems to be about what the child WANTS so for this reason I say up the prices drastically. P.S I am not digging at all parents just the pandering ones who do not give a fig about small furry people. Sorry off my soap box now.

That is terrible - I hope she never gets another animal as long as she lives.grrrrgrrrrgrrrr How can she really expect a five year old to be responsible for an animal.:(
