Veggies amounts for my piggies

Sorry meant fruits! 🤣 be careful with the leaves from celery, they’re high in calcium?... so should be fed sparingly.

Not too often with the tomato. Your piggies are the one in millions who eat zucchini!
Lol ok so it seems Furby likes zucchini but Fancy will only eat the skin if any of it when I deep cleaned the cages over the weekend shed been chucking the pieces under stuff lol

I’m gonna pick up another cucumber soon and I’m gonna swap zucchini out for something else so what should I try with them next?
Theyll be getting bell pepper, coriander/Cilantro, and cucumber already so maybe some celery? Or a cut up strawberry? I know you said stay away from fruit but it’s on the almost daily part of the list and strawberries are one of the lower sugar berries

You could try Fennel/Anise, but I wouldn’t give it everyday. Maybe every other. Autumn isn’t a huge fan of celery and prefers Fennel more.

I’ll try celery first cause my family likes celery Incase they don’t but then maybe I’ll try to find Fennel/Anise that’s another one I’ve got no clue of lol

Which list were you looking at, the one on here? I don’t think any fruits (or carrots) are recommended to be given almost daily.

Try celery as you’ve said. And maybe green beans as well.

Dill is always a goer, well they don't mind it! A wee treat, the key I think is to vary it up during the week..just give carrots and fruits as a wee treat like you would yourself a wee takeaway every week or two!

I just realized I haven’t looked at the food chart on this forum I’ve been looking at one on an American forum I’m gonna check the one on here out now that Ive realized

Ok so I’ve checked the chart on here out but it’s not as specific on how often except with fruits so I picked up some celery, green beans, sweet potato, and some greens trio ((collard greens kale mustard greens and turnip greens)) is any of that stuff I shouldn’t feed daily or every other day? I’ll be feeding that stuff on top of a bit of bell pepper and cucumber and cilantro

Right now I’m working on finding out what they do and don’t like and they love there bell pepper

Sweet potato should be an occasional treat, its more of a high calorie superfood for piggies who arent eating enough or have lost a lot of weight through illness than a regular thing. Mine get a teaspoonful each of grated sweet potato about once every 2 weeks. Its like double-calorie high protein carrot!

Ok thanks the rest will go to my potbelly pig then they don’t really seem to care about it anyway

I didn’t pick any up but I’d it any good as a treat?

I bought this the other day - my piggies LOVE it! I give it to them on a day it rains and I can't go outside to cut grass for them. Rosewood is usually a good brand.

Ok thanks it looked good to me but I wanted to double check since it was at Walmart and cause I’m still learning what’s good and not good
Maybe I’ll have to pick some up cause I can never get grass from my lawn cause we’ve got a house of stray cats on one side of us and the other neighbor lets their dog potty in our yard

You could always try to grow it indoors in a pot.

I’ve been thinking about trying to but I’ve gotta find a good spot in my room for it first though I wonder if instead of using wood chips or paper bedding in the kitchen if you could grow grass in the kitchen?

Kale shouldn’t be fed every day either. Not sure about collard greens, mustard greens or turnip greens.
