She sure is giving you a run for your money! Poor love, you both are doing great. I'm glad your vet is so amazing and supportive. More healing vibes and hugs, and can't wait for that picture! :)

Just realised I never said! Its Cagney. Her sister is Lacey for those that remember the famous duo!

She is sound asleep (dreaming!) at the moment so left her alone. I will post some photos in a second.
 
Here is the little lady who you are all helping with ..

A few weeks ago, this is her 'spot' in their run. Excuse all the hay, I get carried away!




This is her a little while ago having a good sleep. Her eyes were going and ears flapping so I am guessing it was a good dream!



I hope I go this right..I am useless with technology!
 
Thank you. I adore her. She is the friendliest guinea I have had in a long while. I think she would rather be a human. When she is well she happily goes for a wonder around the house. I put my arm in the cage and ask her to come over and she just climbs up my arm, I don't need to catch her. She licks my nose when she needs a pee ;-) Which is a lot at the moment.

I will truly be gutted if she doesn't make it. She is more than a pet, a wonderful friend.
 
Aw she sounds amazing :) I wish my piggy would give me a wee warning hehe maybe she can teach him how when she feeling better :)
 
Thank you everyone . It means so much to share how she is getting on and receiving your support has messed more than I can ever say. I showed my husband some of your messages and he was really moved.

So as an update, she was awful earlier and I was very worried again. However, my mum bought some of their homegrown lettuce over which she devoured like you would not believe! Then nature decided to shine a big warm sun right onto her cage and she fell asleep for a couple of hours under its warmth. She was absolutely out of it! She has now had more meds, more water and more veg ( she loves melon) and she seems to be improving. I put a paper bag full of hay and she is currently in there noshing! Fingers and toes firmly cross! She is feeling the love for sure x

She is so lovely! And she sounds very similar to Tango - he is such a people pig so I can totally understand the way you feel about her. It certainly sounds like she is doing her utmost to stay with you though. You'd better get your mum to bring round more of that magic lettuce!

Anyway, school girl error today. Never let a guinea pig on diuretics sleep in a paper bag! She was soaked in urine... Argh! And not a great thing to bath a guinea with pneumonia! Anyway, lots of wiping and gentle drying and back to normal. taken bottom out of bag which she is now focused on destroying the bag ! :wub:

Thank you everyone! Handing over her care to mum from tomorrow morning. I am away for the weekend which will kill me. However I do feel much better about leaving her for a couple of day's now. My mum knows what she is doing, is coming to vet with me tomorrow morning and has Helen and vets numbers ( and of course me on speed dial) . Dreading being away but wanted to let you know in case you wonder where we are! Hopefully my last post for a few days, tomorrow morning will be a positive one... Xx
 
Well another positive post. She 'looks' really good. Coat flat and shiny, not hunched or hair on end. Cheeky to give water as well and spent ages licking my nose! She has not had the energy to do this before. Sides are not billowing! Off for a check up this morning.

Those healing vibes are working! Still cautious!
