Hi! I have two sows, both almost 8 months old, and both of them weigh around 920-930g. I feel like this seems like quite a large number for their age. Just thought i’d get everyones opinion.
Their heft seems good, i can feel their ribs but there is a layer of fat there (if that makes sense)

So long as you’re only feeding them their one tablespoon of pellets per pig per day, one cup of veggies per pig per day and unlimited hay and if they are gaining weight each week, I wouldn’t worry. Like humans, guinea pigs come in all different shapes and sizes

If their heft is fine then they’re fine. There’s no ‘set weight range’ for piggies. They’re as individual as us humans.

Hello that sounds fine with me. My 8 month old piggie Bear weighs 915grams and is a sow also but was tiny when we brought her at 8 weeks. I was a bit worried about what she'll weigh when she's fully grown ! But she's probably done most of her growing. Different Piggies develop at different times. I know my Boar winston is 5-6 months old and he weighs 1000grams, he's just really long with big features the vet said he looked really good. He'll probably be a beast when he's fully grown! But a healthy one Try not to worry too much about weight!

My tig was the same size at that age, he now is very chunky
