Hi all!

TLDR: My guinea pigs haven't pooped in 3 hours. Should I panic already?

Story: Cleaned their cage yesterday at 7pm, all good, plenty of poops oh so many poops. All good, behaviour normal, active outside cage, not avoiding us on the blanket more than usual, ate veg, hay, drank water.
Normally we clean once a day at 7pm but today we have guests so I cleaned before they came at 1300. There was poop, in hay tray and on the fleece. Also pee signs. They drank, ate, begged for veg. All normal. Before we left at 1400 they acted normal, no signs of problems.
Popped by to check on them at 1600, I saw no poop at all. We have two pigs. No poop. They ate veg, saw them munching hay, saw them drink. They had some lap time, which is when they love to surprise us with pee or poop on clothes. Nothing. Since yesterday water bottles are both half empty, they got cucumber, gem lettuce, green pepper and today mint. Past days the diet is the same. Timothy hay, meadow hay, same veg, pellets and a bit of floral grass forage. They ate it all up.
They didn't whine when picked up, they enjoyed pets. They didn't feel distended, bloated or anything (and I haven't fed broccoli or cauliflower or beans this week). I weight them today and there was a small weight loss compared to last Sunday but I'm not very consistent and sometimes I feed them after pellets and morning veg so there is that.
We had to leave for a moment again, and my partner insists they are fine, I'm overthinking this. A few weeks past there was a moment when they didn't poop for 1.5h or maybe 2h but then they pooped and since then all was always normal. So at what point do I go into full panic mode? Vets will be closed now on Sunday, we would have to go tomorrow if anything but maybe when we get back today they will have popped. But at what point it's too long without a poop?

PS. It was hot yesterday, but they got a frozen water bottle in a soc, fresh water and cucumber.

Hi

As long as a piggy is eating and drinking, it means that the internal food processing machine is still working. Think of it as a big converyor belt: piggies are not munching nonstop and put food on it, they also sleep in between. Therefore they also don't poo nonstop but the machinery is essentially still working. ;)
