Oh poor little thing. It is good you are going to see a vet sooner as it cannot be nice for her to be like this. I really feel for you as you must be so tired and worried.

I'm sorry, I have been so manic with Rodney & running to vets I haven't been able to get on here.

I hope wilma is feeling a little better what a nightmare it is when they are ill & not eating.

Lots of hugs to Fred & wilma! x

Dropped Wilma off this morrning now it's the fun part, the waiting! However at least I know they will be fed today :) x

Good luck wilma! Horrible day of waiting for you, I felt Ill yesterday! Xx

Everything crossed for Wilma. I know how hard it can be with the feeding etc of poorly pets. I've done my fair share with chinchillas over the years and know how draining it can be. Take care & get rest where you can. :)

Been thinking of little Wilma over the last two days, I've not been on much as much as I'd like so I've not been able to catch up.

I hope it all goes ok with your little lady at the vets, sending lots of hugs and wheeks your way x

Wilma had her teeth checked again, nothing to be found. She had dental Xray's and full body Xray's and a urine analysis everything was clear so we're no further forward with her. She still has gut stimulants, I've to give lots of TLC and if no improvements our next step is taking bloods. x

Sorry you have no further answers. Really hope Wilma starts to perk up. Love to you, Wilma and Fred x

Me to and very soon, even if just one of them gets well it'd be a bonus. When I was syringing her last night she sat with her head in my hands so she didn't need to hold her head up. She is so tired, I'm really going to focus on encouraging her to eat and see how we get on. x

oh no you are really going through it at the moment, sending massive vibes for your babies and a virtual hug for you, take care you are so dedicated x

:( your gang are really testing you at the moment aren't they! Keep smiling, you're doing a great job!

You poor thing you must be worried sick, horrible feeling. Sending wilma lots of love x

How's your little girl doing? X

I hate having to go to work and leave them too. Hang in there, healing vibes to Wilma.

Wilma hasn't improved, she is however nibbling. However I did find someone had a very small amount of blood in the urine but after a towel test neither produced any blood but I am tempted to consider the fact it is Wilma. Going to order some urine sticks, I had a very productive day today, spent my day re-vamping, tidying along with medicating even managed lunch and a walk in the park with Hazel's help.

All pig's are happy and have a full tummy, Wilma even has Gerty Guinea as she'll eat it.

Thanks for the update on Wilma, maybe useful to take all her symptoms and comb guinealynx for more ideas. Eating and not loosing weight, this is great news! Hang in there, I am there too with my piggy and I really feel for you! xxoo Lara and the gang

I'm beginning to think I'm not going to have a dramatic change from Wilma anytime soon, she's producing very healthy poo's which is awesome news. I have her on another probiotic with electrolytes in the hope to perk her up. Her weight at the moment is 792, just finished giving her, her feed and med's. She didn't have a nibble when she went in the cage but she did have a little run round the room. I'm going to try and get her vet apt for next Monday if I can get the time off work. In the meantime, we'll just carry on, perhaps some more symptoms will come to light soon. She pee'd again this morning and again no visible blood, once I get the urine sticks I'll have a much more accurate idea.

Sorry to hear WIlma is still so poorly :(

Can they not do some kind of scan to check for any kidney stones or anything like that? I bet you are knackered! xx

Oh yes she had an xray didn't she.... how strange. Must be something causing it!

Lots of healing vibes for Wilma (also Fred too). Hope she starts to pick up - you must be absolutely whacked.

Sorry to hear Wilma is still so poorly :( but at least she is maintaining a good weight and her poops have been healthy. You are doing such an amazing job with two sickly piggies on your hands, it must be exhausting.

Lots of healing vibes to Wilma and some big hugs to you x

Wilma put on weight this morning, she's back to 805. I'm certain this is because I increased her syringe food yesterday and gave her an extra syringe. She's still eating very well, appears bright and runs about when I give her floor time. Her eating however leaves a lot to be desired although my mum has decided she only attempts to eat when the light is on?! Not sure about this logic, however she does now have the light on just in case.

I saw her eat 2 tiny strands of hay, she's not allowed veggies because of her bloat but I decide last night to offer a bit to see if she would take it. She decided against that options.

She can't have anything life threatening as I'm fairly certain if that was the case she would be dead by now, but it's obviously enough to stop her eating. We're back to the vet's Monday, in the meantime we'll just carry on with the TLC.

Very strange.... there must be something. You are doing such a great job with your little ones - keep it up. You must be pooped! x

I hope both Wilma and Fred get better real soon.

Your vet might have already done this but if not, get him to check her throat, just in case its something like Patch had. I'm sure it's probably not but better to be safe than sorry.

Hi Cat,

I'm sure he's most likely checked her throat as Fred had a really bad throat infection just last month. Poor boy couldn't eat, just topping Wilma up just now she's no different I don't even think she's bloated anymore but still she will not eat :(.

x
