Teenage Guinea Pig
So unfortunately my girls problems still aren't sorted. Pringles still has her ovarian cyst and since Pebbles has been off the cerenia antibiotic she has bled twice.
Obviously I made an appointment to get them seen by the vet again, they are going at 10:20am on Monday morning. I am definitely going to request the hormone injections for Pringles, but last time Molly said that if the cerenia didn't work, Pebbles would have to be opened up to find out what's causing the bleeding (so most likely she will be spayed). These pair are sisters, and are now 3 years and 7 months old. I understand how dangerous spaying is which is why I'm worried sick.
Pebbles is absolutely fine in herself, but obviously she can't bleed forever, and one day, whatever is causing the bleeding will get worse and make her really poorly/possibly kill her.
We will find out what is happening for definite on Monday, and when I do I will be sure to update you all. I can't get it off my mind though, when the day comes it's going to be horrible until I get the phonecall to hopefully say she is ok.
