Hey everybody,
So i'm looking for some good quality fleece for pigs but everything ranges to about $50. That's a little out of my price range and was wondering if anybody knew some good fleece cage liners for pigs with a lower price?
Currently I use reusable bed wetting pads (which have been...
We are thinking of switching to fleece bedding as for us it will be easier to clean and we have enough time to wash it every four days or so etc
However, I have no clue where to buy it (my mum and I are terrible at sewing so that's not really an option). Can you guys help me with where to get...
hello, I’ve had my girls for nearly 3 weeks now and was using wood shavings for their cage but i want to start using fleece instead. Is that easier to keep clean? I’m home every day as I am unwell and signed off work so I’ll be able to clear the poop a few times a day. Iv heard there are...
These boys and their demands for more bedding! :soz: Well more like I want to spoil them with more bedding. I’ve made cuddle cups for the boys - just have to stitch the openings closed.
I’ve also made their cousin, Mae, a snuggle sack. Plan is to make her a cuddle cup as well and likely a...
Hello,
someone told me that Pine products can be dangerous for piggies because of the smell, is that true? I wanted to buy a small house for my piggy, but those that I found are made of pine tree. Also, I found something that looks like sand for cats' litter boxes, but this one was made for...
For those of you who use fleece in a shop bought cage do you find your piggies burrow under the edges of it as there's nothing to hold them down? I'm debating changing to them
Hey all, so i'm in a little bit of a pickle with what to use as bedding.
I was using sawdust, but i have an allergy to it, and also the hay they eat. I switched to orchard hay and it seems to have helped although its a lot more expensive! But i'm still rather allergic to the dust with sawdust...
So I know that this question has been asked a lot before but still need to ask it again. On what temperature can I wash the fleece? I live in The Netherlands so we use Celsius temperature. Hope that someone can help me out!
Hi guys, does anyone have any experience using easi chick in their cages?
while i'm home from uni my mum wanted me to use sawdust bedding instead of fleece because she doesn't like me washing them in her washer but i'm scared it will cause respiratory problems and my friend told me about easichic.
Bedding For Guinea Pigs - Overview
So my usual supplier of Aubiose isn't selling any further unless you specifically order in. Being as I've been away and this is my first full day I'm naturally giving all the fur balls a full check, nail clip and change of bedding but i needed new stuff...
Hello there folks!
Not an urgent query I don't think, but I came downstairs today to find that one of my guinea pigs had dug a narrow but deep hole in their sawdust (temporary measure while I try and get enough funds together to get my fleece and towel set up on the go).
It was in the cage of...
This is my current layout. Looking through everyone else's setup, it seems more common to put the hay in a tray/box or something similar. How often do you top it up? I'm worried about them not having enough hay particularly through the night. There'll be some hay sacks made as I'm considering...
So, in preparation for getting me (us) some pigs, I bought snowflake wood shavings. But then I came across some threads saying wood shavings aren't a good idea and others saying they're fine. I'm left in a quandary now as to which is true....
This is the type I bought. Someone help me please...
Hello, I'm Kate and have just joined the forum! I have two guineapigs Pippin(4 years), and Bertie (2 years).
I am in need of some advice for Pip, as all of a sudden he has had a sneezing "fit" where he sneezed approx 10 times in 6/7 minutes. I took him out of his cage and he had a little play...
I've just ordered some fleece cage liners (the waterproof kind) and some fleece beds and pockets/cosies/hideys, do I start by introducing the fleece cage liners first and continue to let them use their plastic igloo (changing it because it takes up too much room in their cage) or the other way...
Initially I was planning on using fleece, but I've been persuaded by my mom to at least start off with some pet shop bedding. We've got some back 2 nature bedding from pets at home since it seemed to get good reviews, but on setting up the cage we seem to have used an awful lot of it. It's a 2x3...
I'm thinking of purchasing Vetbed, I've seen a lot of it online but I wanted to know if there is any that any of you would particularly recommend or where to get it from? Or whether its even worth purchasing or not?
Recently I've seen the majority of people on here have cages, indoor in particular, with fleeces and some hay areas instead of outdoor hutches with wood shavings and hay, at the moment my piggies are in an outdoor with wood shavings and hay but when the weather starts getting colder again we are...
Hiya!

I've been scrolling through the internet and cant seem to decide which place is best to get a waterproof/absorbent cage liner for each.
I'm looking for the least faff option .. lol.. and best price for item.

Hi, I've got two boar guinea pigs reserved to pick up next month while I get everything ready for them. They're a bonded pair and their birthday is on the 5th of April 2017. I'm so excited! One is a teddy and the other is a crested (I think?). I have a couple of questions related to the space...
