alternatives to cat litter

I don't use it myself but the ones I have heard the other forum members mention that they use are Carefresh, Aubiose, Fitch, Megazorb. I can't remember anymore off the top of my head but I am sure some of the other members will be able to recommend some for you.
Is this for use in the whole cage or just the litter tray?
And what sort of cage set up do you have?
There are lots of great alternative, but if we knew a little more about what you want it for we could offer better advice.

I sometimes use recycled paper cat litter

when we clean out the cage we place down the news paper, then we put a thick layer of cat litter on the right side of their cage as that is where they usually pee, then we cover that in shavings so it doesn’t hurt their feet. i’m not sure if that helped

If you want to keep using the shavings but want something to specifically replace the cat litter with, I'd use this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=back+2...TT&sprefix=Back+2+,aps,145&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_7 it comes in pellets (I'm assuming you're using the cat litter pellets here) and it's the closest thing to litter pellets I know of.
There is a safe cat litter called Bio Catolet - i have used this of and on for their litter trays.
