An enclosure large enough to not have floor time?

Is this an acceptable cage?

Hi all, am looking to get guinea pigs in a few years time but want to self build a cage so am doing my research well beforehand.

We own a dog and even though he's incredibly well trained, i simply don't feel comfortable having a predator and prey animal living in the same space. We plan for floor time whenever he goes out for a jog with the dog, however that would only be every other day at most.

To add, we just want to give these pigs the best life possible.

We have planned an indoor/outdoor cage. The indoor cage will be 290x75cm (maybe with floors), and there will be a flap (that we can shut firmly) that leads to a heated outside hutch, approximately 100x75cm (can be longer), and finally a connected enclosed run that is roughly 300x75cm but will expand as much as we reasonably can. However, the run will be inaccessible in the winter.

Their entire enclosure will be full of enrichment and moved around during a weekly deep clean.

This is all for 2 to 4 guinea pigs.

Is that a reasonable amount of space to negate floor time? Is it too narrow? Please let me know your thoughts!

They will still be interacted with and have lap time, but I want them to essentially have a safe section all for themselves.

That's a very big cage. Your soon to be piggies are very lucky

Thank you so much! I really just want to give them the best life possible, I've wanted them for almost 2 decades now but never had the ability to own them. I'll be sure to post updates on the cage and the pigs once I eventually get them, if anyone is interested :)
