Hello, I'm here again. Just today around 3:30 I took Finnian, my 6-8 week old piggie to the vet to get checked for a URI. He said Finnian was fine, and all was well. I cleaned his eye boogers off gently with a warm Q-tip, and he was fine. When I was cuddling him, I noticed a strange clicking noise when he breaths, and the eye boogers are back. Is this normal because of the stress of having to go to the vet on day 2 at my house? Is it just him adjusting? The vet said he takes care of piggies and exotics all the time and that he didn't hear anything bad. Is Finnian okay? The vet said yes, but what is the clicking noise?

Could it be that my room where he's kept is too cold? I'm quite cold in here and don't know what to do about him. I'm scared the vet could've been wrong and he actually it sick. (I'm a hypochondriac)

No you are no a hypochondriac! ,!! one off short term kicking sound could be dew to a clumsy drinker . But any think that lasts longer
Than a couple of minute's and l would be thinking an URI,
or poss an obstruction

My sisters boyfriend (in doctor training) just listened to his lungs again after the vet also told me he didnt have a URI and he didn't have anything that could be a respiratory problem. Finnian does drink a lot, and I have to get him new food because the pellets are too big. I'm not thinking it's a URI because two people have just told me that he's alright. Along with my mom telling me it's a normal noise for baby pigs.

It's changed. He only makes the noise when touched by me, or when he's alone with me. He wasn't making to for anyone else. I think it's just stress.

Guinea pig noises can be difficult to interpret at first. Is the clicking noise like a teeth chatter? Or more of a purr? You may find it helpful to listen to the sounds in this link.

It doesn't really sound like any of those. It sound more like when a sick human gets their sinuses blocked, their sinuses make a clicking noise. But I have found out that it is due to his water bottle giving him too much water. I'm getting a smaller one tomorrow, hopefully.

It can be that he has got a slight obstruction in the nose, which becomes audible whenever he is stressed, drinking or eating. Guinea pig airways are very narrow, so everything is very audible. Just continue to keep an eye on him unless there is a marked deterioration. If necessary, offer him water by syringe and then let him drink from that in mouthfuls (0.3-0.5 ml).
