Glad you got such prompt treatment for Dot.
Hope she recovers well now
Thanks yea, I set a sort of rule for myself, if she stopped eating enough to worry me we would go and get her seen, but this morning, listening to the whimpering pain, it was too much to just leave it alone.

She's had her meds. She's hates sulfatrim, so I wash it down with loxicom. This way, she's happy and I know she isn't spitting any sulfatrim out. The important part

She's eating a huge pile of grass with Bernie right now. She was begging for veg this morning, but through the day she has been just laying about, but so has bernie and guinea pigs are most active during dusk and Dawn, so normal 👍

Go Dottie :D
Take your medicine like a good girl
Healing vibes being sent your way, hopefully the meds will kick in & she'll be back to normal ASAP  xx

Has any one roughly got an idea of how long sulfatrim might take to start killing a uti? I'm only on the 4th dose at the moment. Basicly day 2, because saturday she got her first dose in the evening and now she's having her first Monday dose.

No idea but hope Dot’s feeling better x

Hope Dot is feeling better soon. I know in humans antibiotics take a few days to start to work so presume it will be the same for piggies.

All the best for Dot making a speedy recovery...
Winny was just on antibiotics, Baytril, and she did a proper little face cos it tastes so bad! Coriander treat straight after !
