Fighting Fungal Infection For 2 And A Half Weeks

My piglet got a fungal infection 2 and a half weeks ago.We are healing it with canesten cream (1%) .We stopped spreading of infection but when i touch the two infected ears(only ears are infected ) my piglet starts weeking and running like it hurst him.pls help

First off, fungal infections can be slow to respond to treatment and can take time to resolve. It's not always a quick fix. Secondly, it's important to target the proper organism, as they respond to different meds. Canesten will treat some fungi (i.e. yeast) but not others (i.e. some strains of ringworm.) So it's important to make sure you have a proper assessment and are treating with the correct agents.

Yes he said that I'm doing proper treatment but that vet is notorious for being a bad vet

to ensure that it can't be spread to any other piggies via spores from your hands etc. No doubt you are using gloves etc and have disinfected their cage/ hutch. Concerned it could be Ringworm so it's important to use something like f10 to scrub everywhere.
Any other Vets in your area if you've no confidence in the Vet you've already seen?

No its my only guinea pig but I'm considering getting another one after i heal this one.I clean cage 1 to 2 times a day and every 5-6 days i clean the whole cage with anti bacterial / fungal cleaning solution

Is it normal when i touch his ear that he starts weeking and running away (he didnt do that before the infection )

I expect his poor wee ear is quite tender due to the infection.
