When my guinea pig turned seven gradually the fur on her rear end became matted and covered with presumably faeces, now she has recently turned eight. This morning I found a pile of her droppings surrounded by blood. Later when giving her some fresh food, she excreted once again but she didn't sound as if she was in pain. The area around her anus is bloody. She has lost some weight recently I assume it's because of her age but also because of her pea eye which is affecting her vision. Her bone structure at the back appears to have shifted upwards as well I'm not sure if this has contributed to the bleeding or not.

:agr: Bleeding is an emergency vet visit today.

Are you syringe feeding to combat the weight loss?

Hope you can get a speedy vet appointment.
Let us know how things go.
Holding you in my thoughts

Hope you managed to see a vet. Keep us posted. 🤞

Did you manage to see a vet? 8 years old for a piggies is good. You must be looking after her really well. What did the vet say?
