Hi guys, so I got my guinea pig a few weeks ago, and she’s been great (always active, comes out, interacts, eating a lot) and then today, out of nowhere, she’s been hiding and hasn’t come out much for food or water. We tried to syringe her some water and she took a little but hasn’t ate much today. I’m so worried, anyone know what it could be or how to help?

Guinea pigs tend to hide illness well and can go downhill very quickly.
It does sound like she really needs to see a vet to be checked over for serious health issues.
If you haven't had her for long this may be something she was actually already suffering with when she came to you.
Does she have a companion, and if so is her companion ok?

If you can let us know roughly where you are based, we can help guide you towards a guinea pig savvy vet.

Please act swiftly, ideally contact your vet who should be able to offer guidance over the phone during this Covid time and offer emergency care if required. Often vets are less experienced with GPs so also check out syringe feeding info on this site.
