I'm sure this is a question thats been asked multiple times, but is it okay to pick grass by hand in the garden and feed it to my piggy? I know to make sure it's clean, and there are no dangerous plants.

Thanks!

Sharna :)

Yes ! - Mine get hand picked grass on rainy days .

I remember reading somewhere on here that it is best to hand pick it rather than cutting grass with scissors.

Just make sure to introduce it slowly in their diet, as grass can make their poo soft!

Cutting grass with scissors is fine (as long as they haven't been used for anything nasty) but I think piggies can eat the roots too, which scissors wouldn't give. Shouldn't feed grass cut by petrol mowers though
