Hello everyone!
Quick update. Most of you would have seen that last week I said goodbye to our lovely Newton, It’s certainly strange not having him here anymore. But I know I 100% made the right decision for his sake. Love him and miss him forever.
I’m now down to just two piggies! Henry and Buttons, it’s a bit of a relief to be down to one cage. When I had 3 cages with 8 pigs in total it was such hard work (worth it of course!). But now my life is slightly different than it was back then so to have the one cage has helped ease some work for me.
Since taking down Newtons cage (while shedding some tears) I re-arranged H&B’s cage into a corner shape for a fun change for them and me. The piggy room really looks different and empty now!
In other news.. there isn’t much lol. Unfortunately I completely lost my motivation with my horses and starting Binki under saddle. I haven’t done any with them all winter (apart from care for them of course). Which I’m extremely disappointed in myself in.

Sadly one of my budgies, Wattle. unexpectedly died a couple of months ago too.
Oscar is now two years old, and IS FINALLY weaned and SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!! Never thought I’d see the day or ever get a full night sleep again. It’s made such a difference to my wellbeing. Wooohooooo! He’s also still fabulous and adorable.
Oscar’s favourite winter activity has been mushroom hunting on our property (just to look at not touch or eat!). ‘Sarrrrshroooms’ he calls them

I’ve been fostering a Galah for the past few months too, I’ve named him Chirp. He was housed in a small budgie cage for many years, the cage floor was about 5 inches thick of his droppings. And the house was filthy and full of rubbish.
He’s enjoying my larger cage, and time outside of the cage everyday. He has an old wing injury preventing him from flying very well.

We’re possibly and hopefully getting an ex-racing rescue greyhound this weekend!
Here is a photo of Howl, the rooster..
And lastly a photo I took of a Galah checking out his nest hollow on my driveway.
