Janey’s Piggies

I’m not sure where to post this question, so here is probably a good a place as any! When I collect the baby piggy, the best option would be to just take a carrier and leave Dori and Selwyn here, then pop all of them into the neutral bonding area when I get home, yes? Baby is currently with a fosterer, so I’m guessing that there won’t be an opportunity for her to meet my two before coming home. Even if there was (I could always ask), I’d still need to take a separate carrier to transport them separately, wouldn’t I? Any thoughts?

I was told she was shy but getting better … She seems very curious, happy to explore, stretch up on the bars, zoomed into the bars a couple of times and popcorn and of course, the adorable, almost constant baby chatter!

She is beautiful, she looks like a character! Hope she’s settled in well
She seems to be quite a spunky little soul! Selwyn had pee squirted at him several times yesterday when she’d had enough! She scrambled over a mini cardboard tube (meant to be a place of respite for her) to get to the bowl of pellets I put in, within about 20 seconds! She’s so full on and funny 🥰. This afternoon when she was under the logs, I wiggled my finger gently nearby - she came right up and gave me a really good sniff before darting away again and shortly afterwards when I was about to pop the fresh water bottle in its holder, she followed Dori and Selwyn’s example and came to drink from it while I was holding it 😳.

They remained in the bonding pen last night, but I’ve just transferred them all into their usual overnight cage. Everyone is behaving the same so far. I’m just amazed how well she seems to be doing - and Dori and Selwyn too for that matter! Long may it continue.

I love seeing how they interact with each other and the huge popcorns Margot is doing at the moment. It was 2017 when I last had the pleasure of baby piggies; that was courtesy of a PAH piggy, Fifi, arriving already pregnant!
