Hey there, I got 4 sows and 1 boar which were all adopted from people who didnt want them anymore or because they lost their cage friend.

Anyways, my boar: Elvis always seems very confused as of what he should do. He could come out of a tunnel then look around then just go back in and come out and go into a tunnel then look around for somewhere else to go. I also have 3 water bottles and he always looks at each of them to pick which one he wants, then he turns away and goes to sleep.

I didnt think much of it until he walked straight into the cage wall for no reason and afterwards he just seemed confused.

He is about 2 and a half years old and is a peruvian if that helps. My cage is also about 7x3 c&c.

:wel:
It sounds like he is just deciding where he wants to go and what he wants to do.
If you are concerned about him, then do see a vet

Does he need a haircut? XDMy Mango used to always get his hair trimmed as he would end up not being able to see when his fringe (i called it his unicorn horn) flopped down.

When I think about it, he does but I am not sure on how that. Elvis got his name because he looks like Elvis Presley. This is him a few weeks ago and his hair is longer now.

This may help you - An Illustrated Guide to Hair Cutting

I have a long haired boy who regularly needs trimming. My boys live in my shed and I keep the hair around his bottom, back legs and sides is kept short year round so it doesn’t drag on the ground/get matted, but in summer he is cut all over so to keep him cool

I would second getting his hair cut.
I used to have a long haired piggy and I noticed sometimes her behaviour seemed a bit 'erratic'.
After a hair cut she was fine, and we later decided she may have been stepping on her long hair and pulling it which caused her pain, and made her a bit funny about walking around sometimes.
After hat we always kept it trimmed underneath to prevent the same problem.

Hi and welcome

Please have your gorgeous boy vet checked as to potential blindness and/or if he has neurological issue that is a affecting memory and sight.

Hi there! I recommend having him checked by an exotic vet that is highly knowledgeable and trustworthy with guinea pigs and be checked for possible issues of blindness, brain and memory issues. It's better to be safe. That's what I would do.

@Piggies&buns has already linked my my hair cutting guide for you. I wrote it so it's easy to follow for novices.

Don't panic if Elvis doesn't sit still nicely for his hair trims. He probably won't if he's not used to it. The Ever Beautiful Betsy (RB Piggy) was used to hair cuts after a couple of years of 6 weekly hair cuts! At first it was a two person job and very often she would only let me cut half of her fur, then I had to let her calm down for a day or two and cut the other half! She looked very odd for a few days but she didn't know what she looked like and her husboar RB Piggy Dennis loved her whatever she looked like.
