Oh No, Lump?

Sending you lots of love, try and stay calm, when you go to speak to vet, check on aftercare etc.... Pain meds. Get it sorted before what you want to ask as you will more than likely be flustered later I know I am when they go in....
Huge Hughes and healing vibes sent X x

Sending you lots of love and hugs. It's not going to be a good day for you but keeping busy should help.:hug:Sending healing vibes for Cissy to x

Thanks so much guys :) xx

Yes I've got a consultation before she goes in, hopefully they've got everything I need! I'll be getting the mass tested too, hoping for good news on that front too.

She's just gone in, trying to stay positive!

She'll be having gut stimulants, septrin and metacam for when she comes home. The vet asked whether Cissy liked dandelions... Duh! :)) She's going to pick her some to eat while she's recovering bless her :)

Now the long wait! Estimated time of surgery is 11:30-12:00 so I have too much time to worry but it's time enough to get some more piggy veg, hunt out the hottie and get some new white vet bed. Also to clean the cage and prepare my "poorly pig" table for supplies

Thank you all so much! :luv: Just had the call I've been waiting for and she's now woken up :yahoo:

They're going to try her on food now and make sure she's eating and pooping properly before she comes home. I'd imagine they'll have no trouble getting that girl to eat, especially with dandelions! :))

She's had a full mastectomy on that side and I've been told to be prepared for an impressive wound. I just hope she'll leave it alone! Expecting results in 5-7 days.

It sounds daft but I'm shaking haha I've been so worried. I know we're not in the clear yet as she's just come round but hopefully that's the worst behind her. She's such a brave girl, can't wait to give her kisses! X

Sounding good so far Cavy! Keep us all posted. I'm so pleased she's woken up. I was a nervous wreck when Dennis and Christian went in for their neutering ops. Hoping they'd wake up and then eat stuff. They were pretty groggy for 24-48 hours after but were still eating so at least I didn't have to syringe feed. Hope thats the same with your Cissy! x

Hello. I've just seen your thread.
I'm very intrested as it's personally to me as we had similar with a piggie. 1st vet was bloody usless and 100% we complained but my Piggie still had a growing lump that needed a op to have it removed. We knew no one had not seen this wonderful forum till after.
Long story short I worried fret and felt a horrible person sending him to have it done. it was so sad saying good bye etc.
BUT it had to be done and it was done perfectly and he came home lumpless. bless him. he's passed now and Rainbow World is his home.
You are doing the right thing and from my 3 girl piggies and myself send you love and best vibes to Cissy. Come on Cissy be very brave and strong. x

Thanks! Yes I can't wait to get her home, I'll probably give her extra feed just in case. Having 4 other mouths in the cage is a lot of competition :)) I hope they're not mean to her. I'm a nervous wreck too! x

Yes it's so hard isn't it? She'll be so relieved that she will be free of carry that around with her :) No rest for my nerves though, once she's better Tonky is next :yikes: x

Well done. Let's see the wound. This was Pedro's. 20161205_155947.webplucky he couldn't get to it. But he didn't really bother. I did as you are all the worry. xx

It's on her tummy so the likelihood of being able to picture it rn is pretty much nil! It's very sensitive.

She's had a nibble on some grass and had some syringe feed and water with some Pro C. She's now on a hottie having a sleep in her snuggle sack :)

She's very dozy but that's to be expected, from what I could see the wound looks quite tidy :)

Oh bless her. Is piggie mum better now. It's cos you care. Sending big hugs all round.

Keep strong for her and your herd.
Worst is over. Sleepy is better than tummy getting a massive workout lol. xx

Haha true! She's a lot more lively now, I put her in the clean cage and now everyone's in :) The other 4 seem a lot calmer now she's back, they're not noticeably looking after her but they're not bothering her which I guess is a good sign :) xx
