Thanks everyone. About to leave now. He’s not great. He was croaking like a frog last night before his pain meds and again this morning before them. So I think he’s in more pain. Will discuss with the vet.

Vet just called. Pebbles fine. Had a good anaesthetic. His tounge was getting trapped under his teeth which were overgrown. I can get him at 5pm. I’ve baked cakes and cleaned their room out to keep busy today. It’s not nice waiting for news.

I always find the wait the worst part of an operation. Keeping yourself occupied does help.

He’s home and quite bright. He’s had a few pea flakes and has managed a little bit of pepper, he’s chewing faster than before the op so that’s an improvement.

That's great news that he is chewing more easily straight away. And I agree, not too expensive, although I wouldn't want to be doing it regularly. I hope he won't need that.

Thanks everyone. I’m feeling quite relieved at the moment. He’s home and he’s bright. The vet nurse said it might come back or it might not. Just have to wait and see.
