Hey all,

Have been taking Weasley to Albavet in Dennistoun for his issues as they're right round the corner and the vets seem fairly piggy savvy. However they now say they've surpassed all their knowledge on how to treat him as his gassy tummy/bloat and UTI seem to be neverending.

They reccomended Lawries in Cumbernauld to get him seen by a specialist but as I don't drive this feels a bit of a trek for him when he's already having stress related issues. I've read good things about Taylors vets ut don't know if they're better than Lawries or not? Can anyone reccomend anyone closer by that they've had good experiences with? @Adelle if I remember right you stay quite locally, who would you reccomend?

We're registered at Pets n Vets - Queens Park Vets, but I've only taken mine in for a check up. Not sure how piggy savvy they are, sorry.

Hopefully @Adelle will be able to advise you, as all our recommended vets are on the middle to East coast.. x

I wouldn't take my cockroach to P&H vets. I'm sure someone's taken they pet there & think they are very good.
PS I haven't got a cockroach.

Eek, can I ask why? They seemed very friendly at check up although they weren't really looking at any piggy specific illness or anything.

Thanks all, Weasley has been looking much better over the weekend. He's got an appointment at Albavet on Wednesday for a general check-in to see if he's improved so I'll see what they think and if they still think he needs a specialist or he starts getting worse before then I'll get an appointment with Laura. Thanks for all the help, always good to have vets reccomended so highly by other folks :)

Laura is the most piggy savvy at Taylors Cathkin but is only part time and due to go on maternity leave soon.

Nikki and Eileen are full time and both good with pigs too, nikki is on par with Laura, Eileen is great for teeth and pig surgery X
