hi! i’m not sure what category this would go under, but i guess it deals with my guinea pigs behavior. the fourth of july is only in 2 days, and i’m worried about my pig getting scared. he’s not phased by thunder storms from what i’ve seen, but i know it’s common for them to be scared by the loud noises. does anyone have experience with their guinea pig being scared by fireworks and if so, what helps them? no fireworks have happened yet, and they might not be heard very loud from where i live. but i’m worried and if he does happen to be scared, i want to be prepared when the time comes. please reply soon, thank you!:)

Hi!

The best thing to do is to bring your guinea pigs indoors, pull the curtains or cover the cage with a fleece (dampened but not dripping with water if it is very hot where you are so the evaporating water can cool the surrounding air) and have some music playing to absorb some of the banging.
