Ugh I hate that I’m posting on this thread twice in one week like a helicopter mom but I don’t know what to do. I got hole from work today and checked on Peggy and she had this bloody scab on her nose. I couldn’t find anything in her cage that would cause an injury like that, nothing with a sharp corner. Other than watching it to make sure it doesn’t get worse, what can I do? Thank you.

I would take her to see your vet as it could be anything from a fungal infection to mites. Only a vet can diagnose what the problem is. Don't treat on spec at home as it masks the symptoms and makes it harder for the vet to get the diagnosis correct.

I agree with @Betsy that you need to get a Cavy savvy Vet to diagnose the problem for you and to recommend the correct treatment. Good luck at the vets. Please don’t attempt to treat at home without a formal diagnosis from the vet.

I took her to the vet, he said it was an infected scratch and gave us some antibiotics and ointment. She’s doing great and is back to her active and playful self, it hasn’t healed fully and I’ll continue to treat it but the worst of it is over.
