I have two guinea pigs and even though they eat the same food, one of them has a really bad smeling poops. It smells like vinegar or something acidic...(cat poo smells like roses compared to that). They are on fleece and everything is going great, but the smell from the poops is filling up the whole room. They have unlimited hay and water, veggies( romain lettuce, red/green bell pepper, tomato, carrot as a treat and grass/dandelions) any idea what could be causing this smell?

Do they look okay?

Are there dominance behaviours going on, could he be scenting the cage. Could it be something their eating? My older boars poop smells a lot stronger when they have greens like kale or spring cabbage.

They both look fine. And yes, the dominant piggy has the smelly poops. If its marking, will it stop eventually? They are together for 2 months.

I find some boars poops are strong smelling, normally if they are having issues and covered in mucus. Thankfully not very often.
