Hi all, I hope you can help me. For some problems that I hope to be very temporary I have to move my two piggies Loki & Houdini in a Ferplast cage like this one, without the mezzanine and without the internal division so the available space is 140cm x 60cm (55" x 23"). How can I maxmimize the available space for them so they're still able to move and hide? Do you have any examples of arrangements I can copy to give them the best house possible? Thank you so much to everyone ❤️

It’s a nice cage 8 have the 140 cm and the 160 cm. get rid of that Mezzanine that will give them more space. The small add on could be filled with hay? You can actually buy a little house that will slot onto the other end, it’s pricy but you would then have 180 cm in total?

I used similar cage for years, sometimes alone and sometimes together with a second cage.
I'll add a few pictures. Maybe they will give you some ideas.

Here I used 2 paper boxes with holes, so each piggy could have a hidey. In the front you see a wooden boar with 4 legs (from the kitchen supply).

This is another example. It was in combination with a second cage, but it also works fine on it's own.

That's a L-shaped board with legs from the kitchen supply. It gives a lot of hiding space without using up too much space.

That's probably a better picture if you look at the cage on the left side. You see the L-shaped board with the white metal legs.

My piggies used to jump onto the boards. The legs shouldn't be higher than about 15-16 cm for this. Together with the wooden board you get a height if about 17-18 cm.

I used to put cuddle cups onto these boards.
