Hope it's not stonesWaiting for a call from the vet. Timmy is having an xray to check for stones. The vet thinks more likely cystitis as he didn't react to palpitation. I was offered the choice of treating as cystitis for a week and see how he goes but with Christmas coming and everything shutting down I'd rather know it's not stones now than have an emergency over the holiday.

I’m sorry to read your post - it’s good he’s stopped squeaking when he wees and that his wee is now clearStruggling a bit with Timmy, he's so hard to get out of the cage and he is fighting the syringe, fighting the medication and getting stressed, stressed is something he doesn't need with cystitis! I'm trying very hard not to get stressed, thinking calm thoughts whilst persuading him he really wants this syringe in his mouth. I am supposed to go away Christmas morning but he needs to put on more weight for me to do that. At least he's stopped squeaky weeing and his urine is absolutely clear. I know this because I sit him on a white towel while I feed him and he pees on it every time. He also wiggles his back end slightly off the towel so he gets my trousers as well.![]()
Afraid that's all poison!Have you tried putting a bit of grated sweet potato and a few oats into the recovery food? My lot are much more willing to eat it like that. @Merab adds a bit of mashed banana.

That’s a good idea.I sieved the dust out of the bottom of the pellet tin just now and mixed some into a paste, he ate that very willingly. Next feed I will mix some into the recovery food so he gets some benefit from the good stuff but a more recognisable taste.
The things I do!
