Truffle and Polo

I tried putting Pro C on the cucumbers. Truffle hurried over to grab his slice and take it to a quiet spot. He moved towards the cucumber, stopped, moved, stopped. His feet clearly wanted to do something, so he walked around the slice and tried to approach it from a different direction. No. So he started begging with his little fluffy paws in the air 🥹
Truffle: MS washed the medication off my cucumber so that I could take it away and eat it ❤️🥒 🙂
Polo looked askance at his cucumber, MS washed it and then it was OK 👍

Every day we have to try a different method of administering the doxy. Polo is very patient, but also has great timing for meh! and a head turn 😶🙂↔️ Today he fortuitously lost patience and bit the syringe so I squirted the small amount of meds and it went in. Last night I couldn't get the syringe into the side of his mouth for long enough to squirt securely, but suddenly I got it in the front. He is well behaved and we have a gentle wrestle, but getting doxy in is tricky, to make sure it doesn't run out over his chin or go in one side and out the other 😐💉

We can try trick our little companions but rarely do we win!

This was Rosie the last time I tried to sneak medicine on a cucumber. Unfortunately for her she’d taken a bite without second thought. Wouldn’t trust cucumber for a whole hour after that😂

Pandemonium 😯
Lilly looks shocked too 🐾🐾❤️

Sorry to hear the cucumber trick didn’t work.
Good luck with the rest of the medicine.

Your boys look very …. watchful?! Perhaps they managed to get some extra treats!

Yes, I thought Truffle at least would eat anything with a cucumber disguise, but there was no moving him (spoilt? 😉🐾)

Feel so bad for having a giggle at this, I had this face when I tried raw salmon 😆😆

Hmm, metacam slurped ✔ doxy 🙁 nebuliser, MS having a cup of tea...
I tried to get Polo to bite the tip of the syringe and he seemed to be taking it 🐟 but then he moved his head back and a drop of doxy appeared on MS T shirt. I think that was MS 0 Polo 0.05 or something. We will need to do better tonight. He's grazing hay now and no noises, so it looks like we are doing OK. I forgot to get the snuggle sack out, but will deploy one tonight ❤

🕕💉
I tried putting sugar on the tip of the syringe and leaving the Metacam until last 🥁 and also putting the piggy into an always open snuggle sack. The sugar didn't work 🙁 The brand new snuggle sack got chewed and bitten right down to the always open wire 😯 and my finger got a very tiny nip which didn't hurt 😌 At the critical moment the doxy got bumped and I squirted it over my top. I checked in the mirror, yes, it went over me instead of into piggy 💦🙄 So we went back to good old patient wrestling then suddenly it went into Polo's mouth and yes, squirted onto his tongue 👍🙏
He was a bit suspicious of the Metacam syringe, but then glugged it down 🕶️. We'll do the nebuliser later or tomorrow as it's Sunday ❤️

Truffle was dashing about, stamping and wheeking for fresh veg. We're low on veg, so I tried to see encourage Truffle to eat all of his last serving of lettuce leaf by holding if under his nose and cooing, you know... He sniffed at it and I thought he might have a nibble, but instead he snatched it out of my fingers and tossed it onto the bedding at his feet 😯 then looked at me defiantly 🐾 Another very small lettuce leaf has been brought from the fridge and was rapidly reduced to a skeleton. I hear munching, Truffle is eating paper and looking at me. So I go over to tuck the paper under bedding and...
