COVID-19 Who's had the vaccine?

My family and I had ours on Tuesday, mums a carer and myself and my siblings have a rare genetic disorder (ehlers danlos syndrome, feel free to Google. Maybe in the future I won't have to spend 20-30 minutes explaining what it is and what it affects, how it affects me for them to call in another Dr, for me to repeat it all again and then they be too scared to touch me while I have a dislocated knee/jaw) 😅

Some of us had some minor reactions headache, nausea, aches. I had nothing. Just a sore arm...well doesn't really qualify as sore just a dull pain. We had the astra zeneca :)

My Daughter has Chiari Malformation and a lot of sufferers also have EDS.

Glad you had no side effects from the jab x

Seriously I can't feel a thing and I'm now thinking did he do it, honest I can't feel anything, getting myself worked up

I had my 1st AZ jab on 6th Feb, booked in for my 2nd end of April. I felt really rough for 24hrs after and thought I'd better book the next one for a Fri or Saturday just in case as I couldn't cope with school runs etc. So question is if you had side effects with the first does it follow you will with the second or is it better and suffer less or not at all? Or is there no pattern at all perhaps?!

Anyone had the vaccine with NO side effect, pls
Me.
Honestly I was so excited to get it done and fully prepared to feel shocking afterwards.
In fact I was secretly looking forward to taking the following day off work and laying on the sofa demanding tea and biscuits.
But I was 100% fine and tried to feel a bit 'off' but really wasn't.
Second one next week and lots of people have said that is worse so we shall see.

What a shame, eh?

While I sure felt rough about 8 hours after I had it done, it only took one dose of paracetamol to break the fever and it never returned. And while I was sore afterwards, I was sore all over - not at the injection site. The injection site wasn't painful and if I didn't watch the needle being stuck in my arm I'm not sure I would've known either.

@Swissgreys , worse oh no don't say that! Well at least I booked for a Saturday!

Good luck with yours 🙂
I wouldn't worry to be honest.
Many (most?) people have little to no side effects, so they just don't talk about it.
Let's face it - how boring does it sound to say 'I had the vaccination and was totally fine'.
But everyone laps up the horror stories.
A friend called me last week after her second one to tell me how bad she felt, but would she have bothered to call to tell me nothing happened?

My OH had the AZ vaccine last Saturday. Apart from feeling a little tired, a bit headachy and an achy arm he was fine. He didn't need to take a Paracetamol for the headache he just had a couple of glasses of water and a pot of tea. Mine is this Saturday, I hope I don't get any symptoms but I have been told by the OH that I have to take it easy for the day so it'll be nice to have him waiting on me for a change!

I read an article in one of the on line newspapers last week (can't remeber which). It said you get side effects (if you are going to) with the first dose of AZ and not so much the second. It's the other way round with the Pfizer. It's all to do with the type of vaccine, apparently they are very different in their make up and the way they work. My symptoms from the AZ one didn't start until 24 hours after.
I imagine a lot of us who have had quite a bad experience of the vaccine won't go into details in case it puts other's off, a few weeks of feeling c--p with a bad reaction are still better than being hospitalised or suffering Long COVID. Despite all that's happened since I will still have the second dose.

Sorry message twice phone problems.

I had mine on Sunday. My arm is a bit sore where the needle went in but not so that I can't use the arm. I had a headache the next day, was a bit sleepy, but that was it. Fine by the day after that. I had the AZ vaccine.

Our school found out yesterday that because we work with vulnerable children we all qualify to get the vaccine as soon as possible. I'm booked in for mine on Friday! I can't wait! I know it doesn't mean instant freedom because it takes time to become immune and we don't know if we'll still be able to spread it but it feels like a light at the end of the tunnel. And it's sparked a lot of positivity this week.

My sister in law has had hers as a student nurse and my grandma has had hers which feels like such a relief knowing that they're safe.

Who else has had the vaccine or is booked in for one?
I’ve been fully vaccinated for a month or so now because I work in direct care. I did Pfizer. Moderna has worse side effects from what I’ve heard. Congrats and good luck!
