COVID-19 Who's had the vaccine?

Got my jab, I had pzizer as they said it was better for breastfeeding ๐Ÿ’– feel a bit dizzy but otherwise well, can't wait to get those antibodies made! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’‰

Oh that's awesome and handy to know that they feel Pfizer is the better option for breastfeeding mums. I've not received my letter yet but when I do I believe I will ask for this one then

it's definitely handy to know! they said there was no contraindications with either but they preferred Pfizer ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ I'm just happy to have a vaccine! ๐Ÿ˜

Leicestershire seems to be A little behind.only doing over 65,and priority groups 1. To 4.Will have to wait patiently!

See I thought Rochdale were ahead of the curve because maybe I was part of priority group 6, but actually I'm part of 4? Assuming the letter I got this morning was correct. I'm still trying to wrap my head around suddenly being "clinically extremely vulnerable", hah. But then I got the vaccine before the letter was done, so maybe I was still classed as group 6 at the time. It's all a bit convoluted.

There is no professional guidance being sent out through the professional bodies like the RCOG or RCM to advise one vaccine vs the other is more suitable for BF. Both are acceptable. It is very difficult to request a preference as most sites will get a delivery of one type and this may vary each delivery so put simply you get what you get. There has been a suggestion that the AZ is better for allergy sufferers (I think because it is a traditionally developed vaccine therefore there is data around the base from previous incarnations for flu etc) and so there are some centres that will always ensure that they have AZ for those folk. As time goes by and there are more vaccines given the data is accumulating about allergies in the Pfizer (not hearing anything that suggests itโ€™s an issue).

Some non-reported side effects of the vaccine are being reported online now!

They include an increased use of some facial muscles: It seems that a decrease in miserableness and fear is causing an increase in smiling. Other long term effects are likely to be increased sociability and general well-being. There is a danger that smiling and generally feeling OK again, could spread wider in the community, so Be Careful!
Optimism about the future is only a small danger to a few people, but beware it does remain a possibility.

Those wishing to avoid these effects should continue to refuse the jab and self delude until further notice.

Edit
Help is at hand for those affected by "optimism" or "smiling": YouTube is full of videos designed to restore feelings of doubt, paranoia, and reinforce feelings that "I`m the only victim" by introducing you to loads of other "only victims". They normally are identified by starting "Watch this before it is banned" or "This be taken down soon" and are often over a year old. They normally end with an appeal to support the free speech (of quasi religious leaders to speak about science and medicine). Give generously, since you need these sites to help you defeat the MSM and their money grabbers, so support these money grabbers now!

Nice one @BossHogg its strange Iโ€™ve definitely been smiling at the prospect of getting my life back, letโ€™s hope these anti-vacers donโ€™t ruin it for the rest of us who want to move on from this sad state of affairs

Looking forward to overseas holidays.
Handing over your passports to the border force: "Here's the passport and a vaccine card for the dog." "And passports and vaccine cards for my husband and the kids."

It's shame it's such a chaos in some places. Especially since they're putting so much attention on the vaccine rollout. Any delay is a delay in getting us all back to work and schools.
My friend got call from his mate saying they had vaccine left over and if he gets there in 30mins he can have it.... It's great they're not wasting them, but why not offer them to school staff who'll be expected to work surrounded by kids next week...

Had our vaccines this morning, really well organised and we even got done a bit early!
I live in Belgium, so you can't imagine how weird it is to hear someone say "We had our vaccine and it was well organised." ๐Ÿ˜‚ (or ๐Ÿ˜ข ๐Ÿ˜ญ, really, because I'd really like my mother to get her vaccine at this point).

I had mine yesterday (Moderna) and so far absolutely no side effects. If i touch my arm where I got the jab it's a bit tender, but that's it.
Having said that I did take the advice to keep well hydrated for 24 hours before hand very seriously so I have no idea if that helped.

And just to prove that some Swiss do have a sense of humour...

After the jab we had to sit in a waiting area for 20 mins in case of adverse reactions. When our time was up a nurse called us and handed over the paperwork, etc and asked a few questions. One man got up to leave, and asked the nurse of he could have a drink that night. She told him he couldn't and then went on to say that he actually couldn't drink any alcohol until after the second jab in 4 weeks time. She said she was sorry if no one had explained this to him earlier. At this point a couple of other people in the room also they also didn't know this, and then the nurse just burst out laughing. It really was quite funny.

Hope your Mum can get the vaccine very soon x

My other friend is also getting the vaccine tomorrow, Iโ€™m amazed just how fast the vaccination team are working through the population ๐Ÿ˜€

Got my letter today but the nearest vaccination centre available is 15 miles away! Iโ€™ll wait for appointments at the one just down the road......!
I've got a similar problem, walked past the one down the road today and there was no one waiting outside! To go where they want to send me is a 4 bus round trip. Which makes a mockery out of shielding for a year.
My OH who is younger than me but has COPD so qualifies for the vaccine got a text from the Dr to book his appointment by clicking the link below. He doesn't have a smart phone! I think this is why the roll out is slowing down here.

I had the Pfizer and had no side effects at all, not even a sore arm!

If you are having transport issues speak to your practice to see if they can help get you to the vaccination centre. The advice is to take the first appointment you can, rather than waiting longer for an appointment closer to home.

My OH gets his vaccination on Saturday. Salford seem to be well ahead with their programme as he is only 52. My friend who is 58 and lives in a neighbouring borough still hasn't been invited for her vaccination.

My OH is joining me volunteering for SJA at the Etihad vaccination centre. He will be vaccinating people and can't wait to do his first shift.

I don't understand anyone not getting vaccinated unless there is a medical reason for this. Why would you want to risk catching a disease that may kill you or leave you with long lasting health issues.

I think that once people find that they can't go on holiday abroad without it, a lot will change their minds.
