COVID-19 Who's had the vaccine?

My parents have had their letters but are waiting for a phone call from the GP surgery to book through them as if they book through the letter, they will have to travel quite far and parking will be an issue where as if they book through the doctors, they only have to travel 5 miles away. They should apparently hear from the doctors within the next two weeks

Not had it. .
I'm way down the waiting list.
I'm fed up of people who say the vaccine is controlled by government or I'm not having it because I had a dream and it turned me into a giant legged Duck . . Blah blah.
I tell them now . . This is just my view anyone who refuses the vaccine and don't self isolate if they get the symptoms should not be allowed to use the NHS. .

Here people are very divided. Just over 50% of the population say they would have it.
That's fine by me - the more people who throw away their chance the quicker I move up the list.
Every day I do as much as possible to protect myself and my family but also everyone around me.
If the vaccine moves us closer to getting this under control then I will take it, in the hopes that the effects will be seen and others will chose to join us.

I don't understand why such a massive proportion of people in Switzerland and France (for example) are against having the vaccine. Surely they don't all subscribe to the ridiculous nonsense about being implanted with tracking chips or whatever? Do they all really want this pandemic to go on for years and wreck our health services and national economies? :hb::rant:

@Swissgreys
:hmm: vaccine to be made into Parma violets sweets. . Do you think that a good idea. . .
I would probably be shoving the elderly out of the way to get at it if it were in a pack of parma violets.
Funnily enough I have 3 small packets left and was looking at one tonight, but got to ration them as I am not sure when I will next be back in the UK!

Just ask . . I send you a selection of sweets. . Not a problem.

I'm feeling a bit shivery. I'm not sure if that is down to the vaccine or the fact it is 1 degree and about to snow.

How are you feeling? Did you have any other issues other than the shivering?

My dad is getting his first shot next week. They just allowed people age 65-69 to sign up to get vaccinated so my mom is now scheduled for next month.

Hubby and I are watching Loose Women today and Janet Street Porter just shared her experience in booking for vaccines online. We didn't know you could do that. So hubby checked it and in the website it says it's for England residents only. We live in Wales and we have a 97 year. old friend who haven't had the vaccine yet. We received last week a letter from NHS Wales telling us not to contact GPs and such to ask for vaccines and just wait for your turn. And obviously our 97 year. old friend received the same letter. So after looking online, hubby found out that over 80s can call NHS Wales to get vaccines! We haven't been told about it in the letter they sent us or in the press conference they regularly do. Our friend could've had the vaccine earlier and he never knew. So now hubby shared it in his FB so anyone can share it too as well.

Here's the link for it just in case you and/or have relatives who live in Wales and are 80 yrs old and over that haven't had the vaccine yet. This is just for North Wales, and there might be other info for the rest of Wales.

It's actually funny to watch people saying they won't get vaccinated, but then get outraged if someone gets their invite before them 😂 I mean, you didn't want it or did you just fall off the gaaates-is-chipping-us band wagon?
