Thanks @piggieminder It's Storm with the bladder and kidney stones, Jericho's not doing too bad now :) He's put his weight back on, he's still on cystophan and metacam but going to slowly reduce his metacam dose to see how he does :)

Sorry Kerrie I miss read an earlier post I think. Hugs to you all anyway. It sure is hard when these little ones are poorly such a worry for you @Kerrie74.

@Freela Is Sundae on painkillers?
When she has an active infection (and looks subdued/uncomfortable) she is on metacam. We also have to increase the antibiotic dosing at that time. When she is in her usual state of health, she doesn't appear to be uncomfortable at all and is not on a painkiller at those times.

Thank you @piggieminder I hope you have a lovely Christmas and an even better new year.

Thanks @Freela if the vet calls me either tomorrow or Tuesday I'll try and remember the info you've given me and I'll speak to her about it, in fact I'll copy and paste it onto note pad and will either email it to her or will wait until she calls or I'll get Aidan to speak to her about it, I just want what will help Storm, so I'm willing to try anything that may help him (as long as it doesn't cause more problems of course). I hope you also have a lovely Christmas and new year :)

I had a bit of bad news, I had emailed a guinea savvy vet she replied and said the prognosis wasn't good after she looked at the xray, she said she wasn't sure because she needs a 90 degrees xray (I think thats what she said) but it looks as though the stone is in Storm's urethra(sp?)....

Big hugs to you and Storm @Kerrie, sorry to hear the vet wasn't more positive. Hopefully she will be more positive when she sees another xray.Thank you for your Christmas good wishes, we will be very quiet this year but that's fine by me! Hope your Christmas isn't too stressful with your sick piggies, and you can have a good one.

Actually I think I misread the email from the vet, someone from the forums suggested I email Simon and see what he says.

I think the message said they were possibly in the ureter, bladder or kidneys?
