Blocking A Ramp?

hi there, I just got two sows about 7weeks old and I have a two storey hutch however the ramp is too daunting for babies so I want to block it off is Mdf wood safe to cover the opening it's slightly raised but is very stable and secure as I want them to be on the top level where the sleeping area is. For future reference what glue is safe for piggies as well because id like to extend the banister on the ramp once they are custom to it? Thank you

I have a ceramic tile that I use to block off the ramp when required. They also use it to lay on in the hot weather. Nails would be better than to glue to be honest as if any comes out from the sides they may chew on it even though hardened, but if it's wood it would have to be wood glue. I'd go with nails or screws.

It is wood yeah, I'm gonna speak to my dad and see if he can diy it with nails
