Daffodils?

Hi! So my sow ended up eating four daffodil flowers.
I know it was bad on my part to leave them above her cage.
My cat knocked down the vase that was holding them, and she ate a few. It was just the flower part though.
I was gone at work whenever it happened and wasn't able to remove immediately. I see no signs of vomiting or diarrhea, she's eating and drinking and acting normally. Is she going to be okay,?

Daffodils are poisonous, but hopefully if she only ate a few of the petals she will be ok.

Guinea pigs can't vomit, so please watch her closely for excessive drinking, listless behavior, reduced activity, puffed up fur etc. very closely for the next 48 hours.
If she seems at all off colour then please take her to a vet immediately.

They are also completely dead. She's been acting perfectly fine this entire time.
She's pregnant so she is drinking more than normal and lazying around.

The daffodils were dead. No bite marks on the stems or anything.

If she just eat the flowers, it should not be dangerous to her Just keep an eye on her for the next day or so.
Any bulb plants are not good for guinea pigs, but they usually need to eat a fair amount of the stem, leaves or bulb before it becomes critical. Thankfully in most cases poisonous plants taste bad to them.

Like all rodents, guinea pigs don't have a vomit reflex. What has gone in has to come out at the other end. They do have roughly double the amount of our taste buds and ideally learn by tasting what their elders are eating what is safe and what not. Problems usually arise where this has not been the case.

I am sure that you are going to find a different place for any flowers that could be potentially harmful to guinea pigs in the future; keep anything with straight leaves away from them is a good rule by thumb when in doubt. It's the kind of thing that is difficult to foresee.

She's been doing fine so far! I threw out the daffodils. Been eating and drinking perfectly and been happy all day! No messy stools either
