Hi all I’ve just discovered that my pigs have hay mites this morning I have ordered some lice and easy shampoo from gorgeous Guineas but I’m just wondering does anyone know how to keep these from reinfecting as I discovered that obviously ivermectin is not useful for these mites as they are not blood feeders , so I was thinking a monthly shampoo with the lice and easy or something else ?
Also should I change the brand of hay that I buy and what should I do with the fleece bedding to make sure that none survive as I cannot wash it above 40° without it being ruined
