As I have said before - hay needs to be replaced every single day. If you haven’t replaced it in a month then they will be sitting in and eating bad hay which will be soiled by their own waste
Don’t put tens pounds of hay in the cage in one go
You need to be buying hay very regularly. It will cost a lot of money over time as they are not cheap animals to keep

I dont know if anyone has said this but you could get a hay rack! This will keep the hay off the ground and save more hay for eating only

This is hay used for bedding as well as other types of bedding that have been purchased have been unsuitable/unsafe for piggies
I have 3 trays of hay. They get changed daily.. the large one can last 2 days but I pick out poo and remove wet hay daily and top up with fresh..
I throw a lot of hay away but that is life with guinea pigs..
Try and find cheaper meadow hay for bedding if you can.
