I recently bought a guinea pig infested with ringworms, this was on purpose because his owner were going to throw him away.

I have been treating the fungus with Conzol 1% and started treatment two days ago.

However a couple hours ago I found an odd mark on Charlie's testacies. It looks red and as if the first layer of skin in the small area of skin affected.

Is this another spot of ring worm, or something else? Anybody have any ideas?

(Also he was being kept on Aspen wood chip, so maybe it's a wound from that?)

Looks, like irritation to something doesn't seem like ringworm..

Well done in taking on a sick piggie and nursing him back to health. it makes me REALLY angry :cen::rtm: that people think that piggies are disposable creatures to be got rid off as soon as they become ill and expensive to look after.

Your new pig is going to have a lovely life with you once he has been nursed back to health. You are obviously a lovely caring person:luv::wub:

To be honest its really hard to tell.

Great job in taking the poor chap in.
I haven't used that stuff, i know the dosage you have is used on cats and dogs, did the vet prescribe it for ringworm? as you probably know, its contagious and therefore precautions should be taken to stop it spreading to you and any other animals you have. `i looked something out of ER when one of mine had ringworm, gloves, plastic disposable apron! very nurse like.

I wonder if it's a little sore? The vet should be able to diagnose it for you and give you the appropriate med's.
