So I am currently feeding 6 teaspoons of pellets daily to my piggies, but am I supposed to be feeding them each 6 teaspoons? They always seem very hungry when I go to feed them.XD

Hi thought I had read on here unlimited pellets esp for young gp's. How much veggies do you give them?
Hi they get unlimited Oxbow Timothy hay, curently 6 teaspoons of pellets, and at least 1 fresh fruit or veg a day

The recommended ratio of food groups:
- 80% hay
- 10-15% veg and fresh herbs (ca. 1 cupful / 50g / nearly 2oz)
- 5-10% pellets (amount depending on the age) so an handful ish.....
- plenty of fresh water daily

Can i just clarify for young piggies (6weeks-6months ish) should they have less than a cup full of veg each? If so how much less?

Mine are about 3 months old and easily eat 2 cups a day between them and would eat more! They also get some handfuls of grass/salad leaves as a bribe to sit on laps :)

Does that mean I should give them less? I am sure I read somewhere that they self regulated? They certainly are picky though they love green leafy veg and turn their noses up at courgette, carrots and butternut squash

ALL of mine get 50g each per day (as advised by Wiebke), half in the morning and half in the late afternoon, their ages vary from about 4 months old to 3 years old. We have 10 in total, 3 sows and 7 boars :)

Ermm no idea what it is in teaspoons :( sorry. All I can tell you is the following which I've taken from Wiebke's thread

"The daily amount of veg is about 50-60g / 2 ounces per guinea pig."
