Jesse's pigs
Adult Guinea Pig
So the Steve saga continues. I have created a different thread solely because this is not bloat related and something else entirely- tho I respect if you think it is wise to move it there.
So he has perked up thankfully and today is basically my old Steve boi
however I still decided to offer some syringe feed just to help get his weight back up. It is only because of this and the weird position I had him in (he is a wiggly ) that I noticed a slightly raised area near his left nipple. Not exactly close close to it but near enough. I felt it to be sure it wasn’t just perhaps a graze where he’d been caught by the clippers for his ultrasound but it is a pea sized lump there which is moveable when I feel and Move my hand over it. He didn’t seem to appreciate me touching it, but he wiggles anyway when I rub his belly so I'm not honestly sure whether this is due to the lump hurting or if it’s just the general area as a whole.
I’ve messaged my vet colleagues as soon as I saw it and they’ve said they’ll have a look. Just kinda looking for advice tbh. The location has me worried and the fact I never noticed it before. We definitely gave him a proper feel on the stomach when we were checking for stones so if it was already there just unsure as to how we missed it...and if it wasn’t should I be concerned with how quickly it has just sprung up? Furthermore nothing significant showed up on the Xrays...
Thanks again for your help. My boy is worrying me to death at the moment so I really do appreciate everything everyone is saying
