It's been one week, and a day, since the three girls came home. We are renaming them but haven't got very far: Mango is now BB (BB-8 from StarWars) but we're awaiting inspiration for Chutney and Squirrel. BB and Squirrel are sisters and Chutney is a cousin (they think)
They are settling in well and letting us know exactly what veg they like/don't lile:
Carrots - love them, broccoli - brilliant, peppers - pretty tasty, baby sweet corn - meh, french beans - yuck gross, swede - gimme more! They also like celery and cucumber, tomatoes seemed to go down ok, but they only had a single cherry tomatoes between the three of them. Peas in pods were slightly better received than beans, but only just!

Sometimes they are happy to run around and do their thing when we are watching, sometimes they'd rather wait until we go away.
Handling is going well, I think - they find it hard to stay still though and I don't keep them out for very long.

I weighed them yesterday (very unimpressed piggies as they had to go in a paper bag!) and they are 472g (Squirrel), 523g (BB) and 548g (Chutney).

Does this sound about right? They are about 4 months old? They don't feel skinny or fat. I plan to weigh weekly going forwards.

I think Squirrel may be in season at the moment, she's been chasing bums and attempting to rumble!

That's encouraging! I'm a day in and we currently have a girl in a snuggle sack pretending to be dead... (the boy did that this morning and I had a heartstopping moment thinking perhaps he was actually dead but he shot off when I tipped him. I don't want to do that again, not a nice way to be moved along!) The kids (and DH) are desperate to get them out for lap time but it is off limits until at least Tuesday. Have you managed to get pictures yet?

Some, but they're so quick! The brown one is hard to photograph on my lap as she is so dark

Does sound like they are settling in well. Weights sound good to me too :) Have a look at video below for weighing piggies as they'll be too big for bag soon!

Yes, squirrel is in season! Hormones are wild at that age too, but it will settle down

They are utterly gorgeous  Hope to see lots more of them on here

Hate it when they do that.....

Thank you @sport_billy , The paperbag was very much an 'ahh, what do I use?' moment, but it worked quite well! I was worried they'd run out of a tunnel, but I'll try to be brave next time and do it on the floor, just in case.

BB re-arranged all the tunnels this morning and created a race track round the shed and did zoomies whilst Chutney ate all the food and Squirrel tried not to get in her way!

Guinea pigs LOVE rearranging their cages! Wherever I put things, my three ladies seem determined to move them.

Sounds like they are training you well as to their likes and dislikes. Good to see their shed - looks like loads of fun for them.
