What size of cage/house does your guineas have?

So I have 2 boys ( 4 years old ) and I was in another forum to which people said i need to switch to c&c I do love the style of them however it wouldn't work for me right now, they're currently in a 180x60 wooden style cage and of course they get floor time everyday they're happy boys and i felt like it was a great size till i started reading some posts, so I'm wondering what size of cage do you guys have? Should i be upgrading their space
 
180cm cage is good for two boys and over the recommended 120cm or for boys 140cm.

I have a Plaza 160 for my two boys for indoors and a bunny ark and 4ft square run connected with a 4ft tunnel which they absolutely love running through! my boys Bill and Ted are four years old too x

Your cage sounds big enough for 2 boys. I have 2 boars in a 5 x 3 C&C cage, 2 zoomy youngsters in a 160cm x 80cm comercial cage and 2 oldies in a 2 x 4 C & C. I would prefer the 2 x 4 C&C to be bigger (I don't have the space) but the boars in that one are coming up to 5 now and have considerably slowed down, no longer doing zoomies and don't really need more room.
 
I have a herd of five (one neutered boar and four sows). They have an 11 x 2 c and c cage. Still needs cleaning every day!
 
I have a single sow (that would be the delightful Miss Ruby) in a 2 x 4 C&C, and a boar/sow pair in a 7 x 2 C&C.

The thing with Forums is that there will always be someone out there who has a bigger - better - cleaner - more colour co-coordinated - better set up than you.
Always.

The cage you have for your boys is a great size and the fact that you are concerned shows that you are a great owner.
You really have nothing to worry about.
 
I have 2 girls in a 5 x 2 C&C and an indoor run for daily floor time..
 
I have a 6ft x 2ft hutch. Betsy and Dennis live at the top and Christian, Velvet and Meg live at the bottom.
 
I think 180cm is definitely a great size!Certainly sounds like lots of room for them! The only time I'd think about upgrading if that's the total amount of space when adding up a cage with more than one level, because, since piggies are ground roaming animals, it's the size of one level that counts.

I have a 2x6 C&C for my pair of boys, and a 2x6 for my girls (it's a stacking cage). I chose it because it best fitted the space I had.
 
As already said, 180 is a FABULOUS size for boars. My piggies (pair each of boars and sows) are in a 2x5 c&c.

Don’t feel forced to have a c&c. Your current setup works for you so that’s all that matters. Some people like to push their ideas on others and think it’s the only right way. You’ve come to the right place for balanced advise 😁🤷🏾‍♀️
 
:agr: lots of people disagree with having outside Piggies in a hutch but mine have been outside for 3 years and are very healthy, happy and well adjusted except for a bad back (Christian) and bladder sludge (Velvet) which they are being treated for but has nothing to do with them living outside. Some people would also disagree with the bedding mine are on which is washable puppy pads and hay. It doesn't bother me what other people think. I know my Piggies are well looked after and loved. If your piggies are happy, healthy and you are looking after them as best as you can, don't listen to any one else. It is what is right for you and your piggies that matters not anybody else's opinion!
 
This is the only Forum I ever look at, I love it here. Bullies are not tollerated, there is no one size fits all. Every piggy and every owner is an individual, one way to do things will not suit everyone, we all do our best for our animals and try to help each other. Your 180cm cage is a fantastic size for your boars, ignore the other forum and stick with us.:tu:
