Emergency please help 🙉 So after 2 years of owning boars this has never once happened to me and thought it was some kind of myth, my poor little boar has fallen victim to a dreaded glue incident 🤦‍♀️😭 Went to bed last night and piggies were absolutely fine, woke up this morning and they seem to of had quite the party, their cage is in shambles and Elvis is covered in this stuff 😩 There was quite a bit on his rump which I managed to cut out, but my main concern is his eye (only my boys would be talented enough to aim for the head 🤦‍♀️) this stuff is SOLID! I've tried wiping it with a warm cloth, to no avail, I was going to try trimming it down but I don't trust my unsteady hands with scissors near his eyes. He is fine and running around as normal but he's squinting a little and I can tell it's bothering him. What can I do? 😭 Do I need to go to the vets? Is there anything they can do? (sorry for long post)

Hello. Oh oh my. Your piggies have been busy. . I only have Sows so not had your errrr problem. . . I know there are guides etc on here to help with Randy piggies and I'm sure someone will respond with better help then I.
You done really well so far ok.

 The mind boggles!
If it's not on or over the eye, I think I'd be inclined to leave it, wait for the piggie to remove it himself or for it to fall off of its own accord. It would be very tricky even for an expert groomer or vet to remove it safely from a wriggling pig. Just keep an eye on it in case in removing it your boar damages the skin.
However I've never had to deal with boar glue there myself, maybe an expert who has may have other suggestions :D

With all of my boys I've only ever actually had this happen to one of them once! I did have to end up cutting it out (luckily it was on his side and not near his head - my boys clearly don't have the aim that yours do 😂 )!

With boar glue, you generally either leave it or cut it out. As he seems to be bothered by it and it may be affecting his eyes then Id go to the vet and ask them to cut the boar glue out

Thank you all so much for your advice! 💕 I have him booked in for a vet appointment in 2hrs as it seems to have gotten progressively worse, he keeps rubbing his eye and it looks all irritated 😭 Hoping they may be able to cut it out & prescribe some eye drops 🤞 Will update when I know more, thanks again 🙂

Aww hope he is okay! Our boys only seem to get it around their noses!

Hope he’s ok and has no eye problems.
I hope they enjoyed their party too . 🎉
Luckily I’ve only once had any any boar glue and it was fortunately one of the occasions Micah got the right end of my walking wig, Priscilla!

Hi all! Thank you so much for your advice and concern 😊 They managed to apply a cream to the glue and remove it 🙈 They also game him the green dye test and there was no scratches or ulcers 😁 They threw in an anti inflammatory shot for good measure just incase 😊 Thank you all! So relieved he's going to be okay 😁
