Hi. I was wondering do you prefer playhouses or sheds for your piggies? Anyone has any pictures of your set ups?
Thank you x

I’d say a shed, as play houses I think would be lower-ceilinged as they are designed for children.

Hi there.
Shed it is! If you know someone who is DIY capable they're reasonably easy to build by yourself. My and my partner built this one from the scratch. It took us about 4days. 3days was just painting! We've covered floors with vinyl floors so it's easier to clean.

It's fully insulated and has heating, solar lights. I've put my old small hutch in there, so I can lock them in when it's so cold like early this month (-10!). They were on complete lockdown! I have two thermostats in there, one is in upper level and one is inside hutch- this one is connected to my clock so I can keep eye on the temperature.
It has one small and one bigger upper level and ramps have tubes on as I've noticed mine prefer to use ramp if it's a tube! Set up changes to give them enrichment.
I only have two boys in there, my fostered pair. I had them since November 2016, still waiting for homes :( Little Glitter needed more space so we've built this. And was hoping my own pair could share it (shed split in two parts) in warmer months but my boys decided they prefer indoors as close to kitchen as possible! In summer we'll attach the outside run to it.

Cleaning is easy as it's big enough so don't have to do full clean often and I am covered so don't have wet back from the rain!

I don't have most recent pics, but gives you an idea of the set up. Please take note of the Xmas deco, especially the felt Xmas deco my little one did

Your shed is absolutely lovely.
I was thinking about vinyl floors as well as they are best to clean.

xx

Thank you. Yes, it's easy to clean. I put newspapers under the bedding in their toilet ares so it's even easier to remove and clean. The levels are lined with vinyl flooring, too. We got it for free from our friend so win win!
