Good evening everyone! My name is Kris. I've got 3 beautiful female piggies, but my baby Oreo (I'm not quite sure of her age, but my guess would be about 3 months old) has been sneezing for exactly 22 days now. The minute I'd first noticed, I took her straight to the vet, who put her on 2 weeks of antibiotics. Yet, she is still sneezing, despite her treatment being done (for now, till I can get her more help). We suspected it was a URI, but aside from the sneezing, there were no other symptoms. She is still eating, drinking, and playing wonderfully. Her bowel movement appears completely normal. However, now I've noticed she is having a bit of hair loss above one of her eyes.

Her diet consists of fresh vegetables and fruits every day, fresh water (vitamin-C infused), and unlimited fresh Timothy hay. I'm waiting to call the vet tomorrow (it's currently Sunday), but does anyone have any idea of what she may have? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

It is normal for a guinea pig to sneeze everyonce and a while but it depends on how frequently. it happens with weather change

Hi my beloved Mo did this and after a vet visit I was given antibiotics etc in case it was a URI. In the end he got diarrhea so I stopped the course to later find out it had just been the hay. After changing hay, the sneezing stopped! So could perhaps be just hay if the sneezing isn't stopping. Is there discharge from the nose?

It could also be down to dusty hay or substrate. What do you have her bedded on?
They all use fleece bedding, the one from GuineaDad, and I wash all the beds once a week (scent-free detergent and what not), and spot clean twice a day. Their hay is also dust-extracted.

Nope, no discharge! What hay/brand did you change to? I may do that as well to relieve some of the sneezing. We just got back from the vet and Oreo has some congestion in her lungs, and she is separated from my other piggies. But, one of my other ones has started sneezing (not nearly as frequently, but I'm still very concerned!). I've scheduled a check-up appointment in 2 days for my other piggies, just to be safe.
