I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice?, my long haired piggie has been quite unwell for the past month or so, snotty nose, sneezing, runny eyes etc, the first round of antibiotics the vets gave him did nothing and now we're coming to the end of the second lot he still isn't much better, his droppings are quite soft recently and he seems to keep urinating on himself which is unusual for him, I'm really worried about him as he has always been really skinny (which is weird because he none stop eats ) and I don't want this to get any worse, please help

My other two piggies sharing the enclosure are perfectly healthy so I don't think it could be a virus

Could it be your brand of hay your using, that's the only thing I can think of, the soft poos can be down to something, you've given, different you've given him to eat. Also some antibiotics can cause soft poos. I think I would search for another factor other than put him on anymore antibiotics. Is your vet Piggie savvy?

I changed his bedding to carefree instead of shavings to reduce the dust and that seemed to help him a little, my vet

Got to admit I'm a great fan of fleece then except of the hay rack they have no dust at all. I hate that carefresh, I put some in my hamsters cage, & it just balled up.
If your piggy was a lot better on this I still suspect the hay, I've heard people say Burgess hay is very good. Do you have some in a box & loose Timothy hay
For him to be sneezy & runny eyes I still think it's an allergy, how long have you had him & did it come on very quickly. If it didn't what food, hay did you change, I'll see if anyone else can help. @Critter @sport_billy

I might try him on fleece! I never thought about it that,

He's always been on the pets at home pellets, I've had him for about 6 months and it's only recently occurred in the last two months or so, I'm at a loss with what to do

Thank you though!

Hi! Check whether your hay is dust extracted or contains pollen, the air in your room is dry/has AC. Do not use scent sticks or air fresheners in a piggy room.
