Diy? Houses Treats And Toys

Recently in the colder months I have been trying to find cost effective and fun toys treats and houses for the pigs as it is too wet and chilly for them to go out in the run
I have tried lots of options but would like to hear your tutorial suggestions! To start it off I'd recommend the Guinea pig herb garden Pinterest trend: grab a garden tray, a couple packs of herb seeds or collect some from the weeds that your guineas eat in the garden! Plant, grow and pop in the hutch/ cage for an indoor exscersise run!

How about egg box treat surprises? Poke little holes in an empty, clean egg box, stuff with your piggies' favourite herbs, etc, pushing little bits through the holes from inside to out. Close the box and see who tries to pull the herbs out, who manages to open the lid and who just throws it around or chews through it!

@Her Sibship I do this! it is great fun! I also use cardboard toilet/kitchen roll tubes stuffed with hay.

Absolutely. And a paper bag (Primark's are great, I cut the handles off first) with stuffed with hay and herbs is so multi-functional - a snack, a hidey, a hat and ultimately (there being piggies involved) a toilet.
