Hello, Ive owned 2 guinea pigs for about a year. I originally used fleece bedding but it was too difficult to clean the cage because the poop and hay kept sticking to the fleece.I had to switch over to paper bedding but now i want to give fleece another shot. I created a kitchen area so the hay is no longer a problem but any advice on the poops.
Thanks

Well... there really is nothing you can do about that. They are gonna stick anyways. Unless you litter train your piggies, which is nearly impossible. I just use a tiny broom and dustpan for it. Or you can shake off the fleece in a trash bin. :)
Oh and welcome to the forum!

I shake the fleece but the poops are still sticking to the fleece

There's mini hand-held hoovers that work quite well, obviously don't use it too close to the piggies, but you can hold the fleece down with one hand and quickly suck the poops up with the other!

I have a rubber hand brush which I use to brush off those poops that stick and any hairs on the fleece\pads. They also help remove hay/hair/poops before washing. If you’re in the UK they are made by Beldray and you can get them in B&M for about £2.99 (with a dustpan).
