Oh I'm sorry, I meant the soup!If you’re asking about weighing then you need to weigh her daily now that she is ill.
When healthy, they need weighing weekly at the same time of day.
Hey, I don't know the answer, but you can't go wrong with overdoing it.And @Siikibam how many times poo soup a day?

She looks like she's doing well. She's coming out for veggies now. Appetite is coming back it seems
The scale came in today! She's 1lb and 70 ozI am so happy to hear it❤❤❤
The scale came in today! She's 1lb and 70 oz
Oh hi!Hi!
That is nearly 2 kilos, considering that the average weight of an adult guinea pig is about half of that?
Could you please try to weigh again in grams. We find grams much easier to handle because many UK members still think in imperial pounds and not metric US pounds, which in the weight range of guinea pigs can make a crucial difference. Grams are the same everywhere...
U r doing your best!❤❤ Take care I don't have anything to advise but here are other members who are experienced and would definitely take care of this threadUpdate:
She seems better than before but I still have concerns. She's back to eating now, she eats her veggies, hay and pellets. It seems on and off, like her appetite isn't as big as it was. She also behaves differently, she use to zoom a lot! now she mostly hides and sometimes she's even puffed up. When we take her out of the cage she licks/nips at the bed almost obsessively and if we put our hand in the way to stop her from nipping the bed she would just lick it constantly instead. She also is drinking large amounts of water. i'm planning to take her to the vet this week and ask them to run diagnostics on her, this is just frustrating because this will be the third time and I feel like I haven't gotten any answers let alone a full one diagnosis from these "exotic animal" vets! Should blood work be done or a urinalysis?
if this vet doesn't work out the next option is to go to an exotic animal center that ONLY takes care of EA here in the city. Thing is they charge an arm and a leg! $120 (92 GBP) per pig or for more than two pigs $75 (57 GBP) basically $300 (231 GBP)for the 4 pigs i have!U r doing your best!❤❤ Take care I don't have anything to advise but here are other members who are experienced and would definitely take care of this thread
Also, thank you SO much for the link on bloodwork! I was actually thinking about what they can pick up in the blood so that was super helpful ! Tbh, i feel like going fully piggie mom mode and asking for a head to toe diagnostics! Reproductive, urine, blood, and back teeth. I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. all these "it could be" or "it may be" is just NOT going to cut it!Are you continuing to weigh her regularly? What has been going on with her weight?
Being puffed up can indicate pain. Is she urinating ok?
Has there been any more bleeding - if so, she needs to have her reproductive tract checked.
Getting blood from a guinea is not as straight forward - this link explains ,Blood sampling - how and why
What does getting the reproductive track check entail? For example, does the vet need a pee sample?I agree not knowing is the worst but it seems like your doing a great job, I would definitely get her reproductive tract checked, best of luck to you and your piggy![]()
I'm not sure as I had mine spayed based on symptoms alone, but palpating the ovaries and womb and an ultrasound/ x Ray I'm not 100% on urine sample but guessing would need one to confirm a uti/blood in the peeWhat does getting the reproductive track check entail?
